MASTER'S DEGREE

The Master of Sciences Program in Health Sciences Research (International programs) covers five broad fields of study:

Research fields:
  • Clinical infectious diseases
  • Non-communicable diseases and the elderly
  • Functional food for health
  • Molecular and cell biology
  • Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences
Regular Program: On-site study

Tuition fees for 2 years:THB 160,000 for the entire program or THB 40,000 per semester over four semesters.

Curriculum Structure

Plan A (Thesis Only)

Degree Requirements:

Thesis36 credits

Non-credit Courses:

  • Seminar in Health Sciences Research 1 (1 credit)
  • Seminar in Health Sciences Research 2 (1 credit)

Academic Activities:

At least 1 master’s thesis work or a part of master’s thesis work, in which the student is the first author, must be published or at least accepted to be published in a peer-reviewed international journal. The journal has to be indexed in PubMed or Scopus database. At least 1 master’s thesis work or a part of master’s thesis work, in which the student is the first author, must also be presented at the national or international conference which is widely accepted by the field of study.

Thesis: 12 credits
Courseworks: 24 credits

Non-credit Courses:

  1. Seminar in Health Sciences Research 1 (1 credit)
  2. Seminar in Health Sciences Research 2 (1 credit)

Academic Activities:

At least 1 master’s thesis work or a part of master’s thesis work, in which the student is the first author, must be published or at least accepted to be published in a peer-reviewed international journal which is indexed in PubMed or Scopus database or the student publish a full paper in an international conference proceeding which is accepted by the field of study.

PHD DEGREE

Year of study: 3 years

Tuition fees for 3 years: THB 240,000 for the entire program or THB 40,000 per semester over six semesters.

Degree & Dissertation (Plan 1)

A. Degree Requirements:

• Dissertation48 credits

B. Non-credit Courses:

  • RIHES 791 Seminar in HSR 1
  • RIHES 792 Seminar in HSR 2
  • RIHES 793 Seminar in HSR 3

C. The student must pass a qualifying examination

D. Dissertation Examination Requirement:

At least 2 thesis works or a part of thesis works, in which the student is the first author of at least 1 work, must be published or at least accepted to be published in peer-reviewed international journals. The journals must be indexed in PubMed or Scopus database. At least 1 thesis work or a part of thesis work must also be presented in an international conference, which is widely accepted by the field of study.

Tuition fees for 5 years: THB 400,000 for the entire program or THB 40,000 per semester over ten semesters.
